Mr. Ather Husain Medina (Chief Executive)
Mr. Ather Medina is an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi and holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Karachi. Ather Medina is a qualified professional with extensive work experience of over 29 years in the financial sector. His immediate prior assignment was as Head of Research at HMFSL. Earlier, he has worked as Director Business Development at BIPL Securities Ltd., as Chief Investment Officer at Alfalah GHP Investment Management Ltd. , as Head of Business Development at Invest Capital Investment Bank Ltd. and as Chief Investment Officer, and Chief of Operations at Atlas Asset Management Ltd
Mr. Mohammad Ali Jamall (Chief Financial Officer)
Mr. Mohammed Ali Jamall is a qualified chartered accountant from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Prior to his current role he was working as a VP in the Finance Division of Habib Metropolitan Bank Ltd. He also has extensive experience over 13 years of working in the audit and advisory field with leading audit firms which include A.F. Ferguson & Co., KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co., and Ernst and Young LLP (UK). During his tenor in the audit firms, he serviced a variety of clients including various banks, assets management companies and mutual funds.
Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed (Company Secretary)
Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed has a BSC degree from Government Degree College Sukkur. He has 28 years of work experience in the settlement and custody department. Mr. Ahmed started his profession with Abbasi Securities as senior settlement & Custody Officer, where he maintained, settled and matched all transaction of the clients on daily basis. While at Irfan Mazhar Securities as head of settlement and Custody, he organized, managed and supervised the department. Then on, as Head of Operations at Bhayani Securities, he was in charge of posting, reconciling, transferring, and margin monitoring of clients positions. He introduced standard operating procedures of CDS and corresponded with SECP and PSX on matters of operational technicalities. He joined Habib Metropolitan Financial Services in 2008 as In charge settlement where he is responsible for Operations, later he was promoted to Head of Settlement and compliance officer of HMFS. Currently Mr. Mushtaq is serving as Company Secretary.
Mr. Gohar Altaf (Head of Sales)
Mr. Gohar Altaf holds a LLB and MA degree from University of Karachi.He has 26 years of experience working in different reputed brokerage houses. Mr. Gohar Altaf began his career with JP Morgan as equity dealer and served various Institutional clients.At Khadim Ali Shah Bukhari Securities, his assignment was to facilitate individual and Institutional clients, while his short stay at Central Depository Company enhanced his spectrum regarding dynamics of the market. Mr. Altaf joined Crosby Securities as Assistant Manager; his assignment was to service individual and institutional clients. During his tenor at IGI Finex Securities, Mr. Altaf caters to institutional and individual clients. As senior equity trader at Habib Metropolitan Financial Services Mr. Altaf brings with himself valuable experience and grasp of the brokerage industry.
Mr. Iftikhar Hassan (Head of Online Product)
Mr. Iftikhar Hassan is a Marketing & Product Development specialist, having an experience of more than 19 years in the Pakistan Capital Market, managing New Product Development & Launch, Customer Relationship, Business Management and Strategic Planning. His prior experiences include Head of Online - Optimus Capital Management Ltd., Head of Online & Retail – Ktrade, Head of Branches & Online - BMA Capital Management Ltd., Head of KASB Direct – KASB Securities and Marketing & Customer Services Manager – AKD Securities Ltd. He holds an MBA with majors in Marketing from Karachi University Business School, University of Karachi.
Mr. Mateen (Acting Head of Compliance)
Mr. Mateen brings over 23 years of extensive and diversified experience in the field of Capital Market. Prior to his appointment at HMFS as a Compliance Manager, he served as a Compliance Officer at Zillion Capital Securities (Pvt.) Limited, where he played a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory adherence and maintaining ethical standards within the financial domain. Mr. Mateen holds an MBA in Finance from KASBIT University, Karachi, where he acquired a robust foundation in financial management, complementing his extensive practical experience in the Capital Market. Currently Mr. Mateen is serving as a Acting Head of Compliance.
Ms. Uzma Taslim (Head of Research)
Ms. Uzma Taslim is managing the Research department of Habib Metro Financial Services (HMFS) as Senior Research Analyst. Previously, she was Director Research at Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). Ms. Taslim holds extensive experience of financial analysis, trade and equity research. She has served as the Head of Research at Alfalah Securities (Pvt.) Ltd. and as an Investment Analyst at Pak Libya Holding Company. She started her career as a Research Analyst at Atlas Asset Management after which she joined National Investment Trust (NIT) as an Investment Analyst. She earned her MBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi.
Mr. Muhammad Waqas Younus (Head of Operations)
Mr. Muhammad Waqas Younus is currently serving as Head of Operations at HMFS. He joined the company prior to the commencement of operation in 2008 and has risen within the company to the position of Head of Operations. Waqas started his career in the equity brokerage industry with ORIX Investment Bank, and has 18 years of experience in various roles within the equity brokerage business, in the process developing a strong knowledge of compliance and operations. Waqas holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Karachi University.
Mr. Syed Abdul Basit Shah (Manager Information Technology)
Mr. Abdul Basit has over 10 years of experience in the Information Technology field, leading design, development, and delivery of complex projects and high performance solutions. Manage IT functions through governance, organizational and operational changes. Focus on user satisfaction, collaboration with stakeholders, understanding business issues and implementing technology solutions. His experience includes working in Atlas Bank Limited, Reckon Technologies, and Live Securities Ltd, By Qualification, he is a Bachelor’s in Telecom Engineering from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University.
